At OFCO, we are proud to present our Atlantic cod fish maw Project. An outstanding product out of ordinary!
We oversee the processing of Atlantic cod fish maw for a client in Iceland, with the final products being re-exported mainly to Hong Kong and China.
The raw material, salted Atlantic cod fish backbone, is shipped in wooden pallet boxes. Inspecting this raw material is a labor-intensive for OFCO team but essential part of the process, ensuring the sustainability of the project. The reprocessing involves several meticulous steps, including removing the bladders from the backbone, conducting multiple cleanings to remove any impurities, and drying naturally under the sun.
Vietnamese processors, renowned for their expertise and dedication, carry out the actual processing work. Their skill and hard work are integral to the success of this project. Vietnam, with its rich history in dried seafood processing, provides the ideal setting for such a demanding and labor-intensive project.
The Atlantic Cod Fish Maw Project goes beyond just reprocessing dried maw. It’s about upholding the highest quality standards, meeting the specific needs of our clients, and contributing to sustainable business practices. This project, which we hold in high regard, embodies the values we cherish at OFCO.
