Jean-Charles Diener, the founder of OFCO, is a seasoned professional with a rich educational background and extensive experience in the seafood industry. He holds a Master’s Degree in Agronomy, specializing in Aquaculture, from France. His journey in the seafood sector began with the development of Tilapia farming in Africa. In the Philippines, he collaborated with CIRAD on Black Tiger shrimp farming. In 1999, Jean-Charles started working on Pangasius farming in Vietnam and contributed significantly to the development of feeds for Pangasius within Proconco. His passion for sustainable business practices and deep understanding of the seafood industry led him to establish OFCO in 2007. Under his leadership, OFCO has become a trusted partner for many businesses, helping them navigate the complexities of sourcing with confidence. His unwavering commitment to excellence and integrity has led OFCO to reduce significant quality issues from over 40% of inspected containers to approximately 1.5% over the past eight years. This improvement has fostered stronger relationships between clients and their suppliers, setting a high standard in the industry. Jean-Charles continues to lead OFCO with a focus on sustainable business practices, advocating for responsible farming methods, and raising awareness about the benefits of sustainable seafood production.
